AIG/Service Net WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

BY ACCEPTING THIS DISPATCH, YOU AGREE THAT NO EMPLOYEE WITH A THEFT-RELATED CONVICTION, SEX-RELATED CONVICTION, CONVICTION FOR A CRIME VIOLENT IN NATURE, OR FELONY DRUG-RELATED CONVICTION SHALL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER A RESIDENCE.

 

1. Independent Contractor – The Service Provider understands and agrees that it is, and always will be an independent contractor, and nothing may in any way be construed so as to constitute service provider as an employee, representative, joint venture, partner, or agent of AIG/Service Net, Inc. (herein referred to as “AIG/Service Net”).  Service Provider does not have the right or authority to act for AIG/Service Net, or assume, incur, or create any obligation, liability, or responsibility, express or implied, in the name of, on behalf of, or to bind AIG/Service Net in any manner whatsoever. Service Provider accepts all obligations of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the conduct of any of its personnel in carrying out their obligations and duties to AIG/Service Net and consumers requiring product service.

 

2. Indemnification – Service Provider covenants and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold AIG/Service Net, its corporate parent, affiliates, officers, directors and employees (collectively  AIG/Service Net, Inc. Indemnities”), free and harmless from any and all losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, and damages for bodily injury, damage to property, or breach of contract, arising out of the service, replacement, installation or repair of Products for which it has accepted a service dispatch from AIG/Service Net, provided, however the within indemnification applies only to acts of omissions of, or defective workmanship by, Service Provider, its employees, representatives, contractors, and agents.     

 

3. Proof of Purchase – Purchase date will be validated by AIG/Service Net with the consumer at the time the call is taken with the exception of paragraph 6.b. shown below. 

 

4. Service Performance – Service Provider agrees to contact consumer to schedule service, replacement, installation or repair within 24-hours of receiving the service dispatch request.  IMPORTANT:  If, for any reason, you are not going to service this dispatch, update the Service Request status online; otherwise, you are expected to file a claim, and the consumer may be sent a Quality of Service Survey.

 

5. Service Provider Warranty – The Service Provider shall warrant its work for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of service completion for each product serviced, installed or repaired.

 

6. Service Dispatch Types - Your company will receive three (3) types of job dispatches from AIG/Service Net and they must be processed as follows:

 

a.      Service Contract – All jobs identified as Service Contract MUST be claimed through AIG/Service Net using the ServicePower Service Claims system.  If parts are required they can be ordered through the parts section of the dispatch record in the ServicePower system.

 

b.      In Warranty – All jobs identified as In Warranty MUST be claimed through the product manufacturer or their claims processing provider with the exceptions shown below. You MUST confirm the product date of purchase and any missing information in each dispatch with the customer when you confirm the in home service appointment. If parts are required you must obtain them from your own supplier.

 

Exceptions: In Warranty calls for the brands sold by Best Buy including Insignia, Dynex, RCA, and Westinghouse must be claimed through AIG/Service Net. Simply submit your claim through the ServicePower system. 

 

c.      Out of Warranty – All jobs identified as Out of Warranty MUST be paid for by the consumer at your COD rate. If parts are required you must obtain them from your own supplier.

 

As each job type is received please make sure that the customer notes are read thoroughly for additional details.

 

6.  Unknown Brands - You may receive a job dispatch with the brand as “Unknown”. As such please accept the job and proceed with service accordingly unless you are not able to support the brand after communicating with the customer.   In such instances simply reject the job as “brand not covered”.   

 

7. Mileage –To request reimbursement for mileage outside of this twenty five (25) mile radius, file an Authorization Request at www.servicepower.com under the Request Call Authorization tab.

 

8. Claim Submission – The Service Provider has sixty (60) days to submit a claim for payment.  If no claim is received within thirty (60) days of its dispatch, AIG/Service Net is under no obligation for payment.  File claims online at www.AIG/Service Net.com. 

 

9. Ordering Parts - Order parts for all extended repairs through AIG/Service Net.  Log on to www.Servicepower.com and find your Call Details (search from the Main page or under the Service Calls tab).  Click the hyperlinked Call Number; click the red/while Parts Order button.  Complete the form and click Send Order. 

 

10. Labor Rate – The flat service rate in your agreement includes trip, diagnostic, and labor unless extenuating circumstances dictate otherwise. To request a higher labor rate before additional service is performed or completed, file an Authorization Request at www.servicepower.com under the Request Call Authorization tab (or Create Request button in the Call Details).
